How to store redispersible latex powder? Construction chemical manufacturer teaches you!
Redispersible latex powder is a type of adhesive powder with strong bonding ability, excellent water resistance, plasticity, and abrasion resistance, making it popular in the building materials market. Today, we’ll introduce some methods for storing this powder.
Redispersible latex powder is a powdery solid. When using it, it needs to be mixed with water and stirred before applying it to walls and other surfaces. Therefore, it’s crucial to prevent the powder from getting damp during storage. The storage area should be well-ventilated to greatly reduce the chance of moisture absorption. The warehouse temperature should also not be too high, otherwise the powder will easily deteriorate or clump, affecting future sales and use. The shelf life of redispersible latex powder produced by cellulose manufacturers is approximately six months; do not use it after six months.
Cellulose manufacturers believe that in summer, redispersible latex powder should be stored away from direct sunlight to prevent deterioration. After heavy rain or snowfall, open the doors and windows of the warehouse to promptly dissipate humid air. Once opened, use the adhesive powder as soon as possible. Seal any remaining portion properly to prevent it from absorbing moisture from the air and clumping.
