The most valuable method for testing RDP quality is to add it to dry-mix mortar and observe the mortar’s performance after 28 days and several years. However, there is also a quicker way to assess RDP quality.
The method for making an RDP film is as follows:
1. Mix 10 ml of RDP powder with 10 ml of water.
2. Stir the emulsion thoroughly within one minute.
3. Let it stand for 5 minutes to observe the disappearance of air bubbles.
4. Pour the mixture evenly.
5. Remove it after it dries. The film should be elastic and have good strength.
6. The dried film should have a uniform color, be flexible, and have high strength.
